Solang Valley

Solang Valley (13 km away): Known as the "Adventure Capital" of the region, Solang Valley is a paradise for thrill-seekers. It offers breathtaking views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks. Rohtang Pass

This high mountain pass, located at over 13,000 feet, serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti. It is famous for its year-round snow and spectacular panoramic views of the Pir Panjal range. Jogini Waterfalls

Jogini Waterfalls (3 km from Vashisht): A scenic and relatively easy hike from Vashisht Village leads to these cascading falls that drop from a height of 160 feet. The trail winds through pine forests and apple orchards, offering glimpses of the Beas River and distant Himalayan peaks. It's considered both a refreshing picnic spot and a sacred pilgrimage site.

Manikaran

Manikaran (79 km away): Located in the Parvati Valley, Manikaran is a major pilgrimage centre for both Hindus and Sikhs. It is world-famous for its natural hot sulphur springs, which are believed to have medicinal properties. The hot water is so intense that food for the Langar (community kitchen) at the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara is often cooked directly in the springs.

Hadimba Devi Temple

Nestled in the dense Dhungiri Van Vihar cedar forest, this 16th-century wooden marvel is dedicated to the goddess Hadimba, a key figure from the Mahabharata. Built in 1553, the temple is famous for its unique four-tiered pagoda-style roof and intricate carvings of mythological characters and animals.

Mall Road

Often called the "Heartbeat of Manali," this vibrant pedestrian-only street is the town’s main commercial and social hub. It is lined with local handicraft emporiums, quirky cafes, and boutiques selling everything from traditional Kullu shawls and caps to Tibetan souvenirs.

Sissu

Located just beyond the North Portal of the Atal Tunnel, Sissu is a picturesque hamlet in the Lahaul Valley sitting on the banks of the Chandra River. It has quickly become a favourite for its stunning "Palden Lhamo dhar" waterfall, a man-made lake, and views of massive glaciers.

Kullu Manali

Kullu and Manali are two distinct but closely linked destinations in the same district, often visited together as part of a single itinerary. While Manali is a high-altitude resort town known for its bohemian cafes and snow activities, Kullu is a sprawling valley located at a lower elevation, famous for its apple orchards, sprawling meadows, and white-water rafting.
